Resumen:	Resumen Se presenta un volumen con otros diecisiete artículos científicos que analizan las características y la variabilidad físicas, químicas, atmosféricas, oceánicas y de productividad de la parte norte de la Corriente de Perú, en relación con las f luctuaciones del stock norte-centro de la anchoveta Engraulis ringens en aguas peruanas, con énfasis en los años entre 1950 y 2009. Se destaca la interacción entre estos factores y se explica brevemente por qué y cómo cada uno de estos estudios ha contribuido al desarrollo y la aplicación de un enfoque adaptativo que permite la gestión sostenible de la pesquería de anchoveta en Perú, teniendo en cuenta y adaptándose tanto a las condiciones altamente variables del clima y el ecosistema en aguas peruanas como a la interacción y las fluctuaciones que la población de anchoveta puede experimentar en respuesta a estos cambios. ABSTRACT: Seventeen other scientific articles are presented in this volume, that analyze the physical, chemical, atmospheric, oceanic, and productivity characteristics and variability of the northern part of the Peru Current, in relation to fluctuations in the north-central stock of the anchoveta Engraulis ringens in Peruvian waters, with an emphasis on the years between 1950 and 2009. The interaction between these factors is highlighted, and a brief explanation is provided of why and how each of these studies has contributed to the development and application of an adaptive approach that allows for the sustainable mana gement of the anchoveta fishery in Peru, taking into account and adapting to both the highly variable climate and ecosystem conditions in Peruvian waters and the interactions and fluctuations that the anchoveta population may express in response to these changes.
